KinCon biolabs is proud to announce that PhD candidate Alexandra Fritz has been awarded an Industrial PhD funded by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) and the Land Tirol. The project focuses on restoring tumor-suppressor function.
Leveraging KinCon’s live-cell reporter technology, her industrial PhD extends the platform beyond kinases to hard-to-target proteins, providing a strong foundation for innovative strategies to address previously undruggable targets and, ultimately, improve therapeutic outcomes in challenging diseases such as cancer and Parkinson’s disease.
This Industrial PhD bridges academia and industry, enabling practical research in an industrial setting while benefiting from the academic expertise of the University of Innsbruck, and accelerating translational research within KinCon biolabs’ platform.
We look forward to sharing milestones as the project progresses.
